Documentary: Re-visioning our future – the story of a town in Transition
This project seeks to chronicle Transition process in action in the Irish town of Clonmel by means of a documentary. It draws on local talent in the form of film-makers, amateurs, hobbyists and even professionals in a collaborative project along the lines of “You are the Film-Makers.” The goal is not only the production of a documentary film, but also to have galvanized local community on serious and compelling issues in a positive, empowering and creative way. In this sense it can also be considered a form of action research.
This project is a collaborative effort involving Carnegie funders, Tipperary Institute (ICT Department: Multimedia), Studio 6 and Clonmel Transition Town.
Concrete outcomes of the project to include:
• a fully edited 50 to 60 minute HD Digital Video documentary.
• a number of short video clips (3 to 10 minutes each) capable of web uploading
